Hi All.....
I had many massages in the military years ago overseas, but never in America. When it comes to my body I can be a bit shy. For instance; If I have several pains I will only advise my doctor of the most painful, and not mention other aches and pains.
Well, recently I began with massages here in the states. I find myself again not wanting to mention things to my massage therapist. Partly because I don't want to offend, and partly because I don't like to mention little things. However I am curious- With massages overseas, the therapist massaged every part of my chest, and also my abdomen. I found this helped with relieving stress, breathing, and just an overall good feeling. My massage therapist here only does my shoulders, and the very top of my chest, and does not touch my abdomen at all. Is this normal for American Swedish massage?
Thank You! |
