Here are some things to help make your forum experience a better one.

You can use the Active Topics link at the top of every page to see all the posts since the last time you were in the forum? This is a great way to get caught up and stay up-to-date with the newest posts quickly.

You can use the Subscribe function to sign-up to receive an email alert every time someone enters a post into a forum you would like to follow - or - a specific topic you want to track. In fact, you can even subscribe to the entire forum and get an email whenever there is a new post anywhere.

The search function can locate those hard to find topics quickly. Use a keyword or two from the thread you want to find or about the topic of interest and all the posts and replies will be returned. This is a great thing to do before you post a new question - as in most cases, it has already been asked/discussed in some way, shape or form. Once you review those previous conversations you can then ask a more relevant question or continue a thread for a more in-depth discussion.

You can use a Word type program to write your posts and replies - that way you can take advantage of the built in spell checker and other grammar tools. Once you are done composing your text - simply highlight the entire text - copy (Control C) and then click in the forum text area - then paste (Control V). Get into doing this as a habit and your posts will always look clean and professional.

Use the FAQs link at the top of every page to find out how to do special things within your forum posts. There are many great hints and tips in there to help you make the most of your forum posts.
